Energy Saving & Awareness

If you are looking to improve the energy efficiency of your home, then the MyHome.ie Green Energy Advice section is a good place to start. With awareness of green issues and energy saving becoming more and more pertinant to Irish home-owners, we have found that many of our site users, who are largely house hunters and home owners alike, are looking for information on saving energy in their home. The Green Energy section of our site, includes lots of tips and advice on everything from wind turbines to home energy ratings and audits.

The importance of Green issues to Irish home owners is also highlihted by the launch of a new website CO2.ie, which was unveiled on St. Patrick’s Day 2008, Ireland’s greenest day.  The Dublin parade’s theme was ‘Energy’ and CO2.ie was created for Irish consumers interested in information, products & services to help them save energy, save money & save the planet.

CO2.ie was set up to help Irish people with practical ways to reduce their carbon footprint and is the first Green web portal for the Irish market.  CO2.ie has a Blog, directory, eco-shop & sections for greening your car, your home and your lifestyle.

CO2.ie will help visitors with practical ways to reduce their carbon footprint & offer Green businesses ways to reach this audience via online advertising & free directory listings.

CO2.ie was created to help Irish consumers learn more about new EU & Irish laws affecting our homes, cars & our lifestyles.  From January 2009, new laws will mean every home bought, sold or rented will have to have a Building Energy Rating (BER) Certificate.  CO2.ie has an ecommerce booking engine for nationwide BER assessment bookings.
