Commenting on the results, Jim Miley, Chief Executive of MyHome.ie said: “The continuing high level of usage of MyHome.ie indicates that interest in property remains very high among Irish adults. Our recent expansion into commercial and overseas property listings has broadened the customer base for the site and we look forward to continuing to provide a high quality service to our customers with our newly re-designed site.”
The objective of the JNIR Survey is to provide a profile of people visiting different websites in Ireland. The research also allows us to provide you with a detailed demographic profile of the visitors to MyHome.ie - by age, location, education, social class etc.
The results of the survey confirm that people looking to purchase property in Ireland are logging on to MyHome.ie as their first port of call on the web.

The JNIR is an independent survey carried out by Behaviour & Attitudes using face to face research with 10,000 adults across Ireland in July to December 2007 combined with detailed online research by Amas.
The JNIR is the second survey in a week that confirms the top ranking position of MyHome.ie. Earlier this week, online agency, Net Behaviour reported that MyHome.ie is the 10th most popular of all websites in Ireland in a survey of 500 sites. The Net Behaviour survey shows MyHome.ie with a commanding position in comparison with other property websites. When search engines and isp’s are excluded from the rankings, MyHome.ie is in the Top3 most popular sites.
The Net Behaviour Top 10 results and commentary on the Property website sector is as follows:

As the property market becomes tighter, online browsing may lose its lustre but for now the online agents receive a very considerable proportion of Irish website viewership, led by MyHome.ie at 30% of all Internet users. Second comes Daft.ie (21%) followed by SherryFitzgerald.ie (18%), PropertyPartners.ie 17%, Remax Ireland (13%) and PropertyNews.com (11%). HOK and DNG receive 6% of traffic and Lisney 5%.
